A vibrant, green, family-friendly community
with room for you!

Just 7 homes remaining!

An Old Fashioned Neighborhood

In a New Way

We are families, couples, and individuals committed to enriching each others lives, reaching community decisions by consensus, and respecting the land on which we live.

We are an family-friendly cohousing community. Our homes are 'green' - environmentally designed, quality built, and super energy-efficient.

Our homes are clustered along pedestrian ways adjacent to our farm fields and the Nubanusit Brook.

We share 70+ acres of farm land, fields and woodlands with trails, a pond, and nearly a mile of riverfront. An organic farm supplies our CSA, and cows & chickens supply milk and eggs.

The Common House and Callie's Common form the heart of the community for twice-weekly optional meals, meetings, planned events, and spontaneous happenings.

The Governor's House, an historic farmstead with professional office and studio space, and is in use by several residents for photography, pottery, and weaving.

Thursday, July 29th: A favor

I'm sorry to bother everyone with this. Is anyone going to Keene tomorrow? If you are, please let me know. I'll be at the barn till around 8am then at chickens. If you are leaving before then, please holler. There's nothing like planning ahead! Thanks very much.

Wednesday, July 28th: Cat

Tonight at 9:20 we saw a cat walking near the GH garages. It turned and went behind the garages after we pulled up. I did not recognize it as any of the neighborhood outdoor cats, but do not know if it is an escaped indoor cat. It was small with a racoon-striped tail (but definitely a cat)…

Sunday, July 25th: Design Review Posting

I will be hiring an electrician to add a light fixture in the ceiling of my front porch. It will be the same fixture as the ones already installed. It will be located nearer to the steps down to the front walk so that the step area can be lit. They get icy very easily and can be treacherous. If you have any concerns, please let me know…

...the rural land is conserved through easements; it boasts a pond for swimming and skating, forested tracts for long walks, and open pastures. The 16 shingled, pitch-roofed structures—almost iconic New England shelters—are clustered together and connected by pedestrian walkways and common green space. It is a modern, energy-saving twist on an age-old concept: the village. Harvard Magazine

This is a place as traditional in its appearance as it is futuristic in its ambitions. It’s a kind of Shaker colony with computers. It’s also a gem of unpretentious architecture. Boston Globe

Peterborough, a thriving small town and regional arts and cultural center with "postcard charm", is situated in the heart of the Monadnock region of southwestern New Hampshire. The center of town is less than 1 1/2 miles away by sidewalk. Peterborough area farms, bakeries, and markets have organic foods available year-round. Just a 90-minute drive separates us from Boston, the NH seacoast, the White Mountains, and the Green Mountains in Vermont. Major airline service is close by in Manchester, or from Boston.
