The Homes

The Fourplexes
Farmhouse Duplexes
The Single Family

The homes are smaller than is typical because the common house offers amenities which many people might otherwise build into their homes but use only occasionally.   Smaller homes mean less consumption of fuel and building materials and lower taxes.

The homes are architecturally beautiful and are finished on the exterior with cedar shakes and siding featuring natural beauty and low maintenance.

The homes have private back yards that are oriented toward either wild or cultivated natural areas.

The homes have the possibility of one floor living and all front porches are at the same grade as the first floor to accomodate possible wheelchair accessibility.  In addition, all of the one bedroom units are fully ADA compliant.

The homes are quality built with hardwood and tile floors, fiberglass insulated triple pane windows, 35 year, recycleable roof shingles, Trex decking and long lasting cedar exterior.

The homes have an energy efficient design.  They are all super insulated and have energy efficient windows and day-lighting design elements.  Many of the homes will have south facing roofs that can accommodate future photovoltaic systems.  Heat and hot water will be generated by centralized wood pellet fired “energy centers” and piped to the homes.  Great care is being given to using materials that are healthy to both the environment and the home owners.

The homes have covered parking for one vehicle that also has ample space for extra storage.  Most homes also have an attached outdoor storage shed.

There are many customizing options available including add-on rooms, finished attic and basement space, and choices of interior doors and trim finishes, kitchen cabinets, countertops and appliances, flooring, and plumbing and lighting fixtures.

There are 29 homes in three building types, ranging in size from 863 to 1,888 s.f.
