“I continue to pinch myself about what a wonderful place I found to live!”
I wanted to live in a community that aligned with my personal values — interdependent, , environmentally sound, diverse, equitable. I’m a Unitarian Universalist and I first learned about co-housing reading a UU magazine article. On a day-long tour of co-housing communities, I saw and felt the energy happening in them. I was the first person to take a tour of Nubi!
My passion in life is to make the world a better place. It sounds pretty simple, but that’s what drives me. Professionally, I’m a health strategist in philanthropy across the state of NH. I am currently the acting president of the Concord-based Endowment for Health, trying to address health issues that can’t easily be solved.
I play a lot of tennis, love to garden, and enjoy movies. In the summer, I like to kayak. At Nubi, I enjoy being with the animals —the chickens and the pigs — and sharing meals with the community. My favorite places at Nubi is the pond. The natural beauty, sense of community, and cultural richness of Peterborough and Monadnock region has always drawn me to the area.
My cat, Tigger, is my companion. I have two adult children: Ben lives in Washington, DC, where he is a visual space designer for Urban Outfitters; and, Betsy is an equestrian manager and trainer of Grand Prix horses; she lives all over the east coast with her rescue dog, Fergie.
